Notes: For a neater look, use a chainless dc instead of the ch 3 at the beginning of rows.

Slippers will have some “give” to them and will fit a range of sizes as shown above.
Pattern
Make magic ring.
Round 1: Ch 3, 9 dc in magic ring, pull tightly and join with slip st to top of chain (10 sts).
Round 2: Ch 3, dc in same st, 2 dc in each st around, join with slip st to top of chain (20 sts).
Round 3: Ch 3, 2 dc in next st, *dc, 2 dc in next st; repeat from * around, join with slip st to top of chain (30 sts). For size 4-6, skip the last 2 increases for a total of (28 sts). For size 10-12, work 2 extra increases for a total of (32 sts).
Rounds 4-10: Ch 3, work even on 28 (30, 32) sts in dc, join with slip st to top of chain.
Pattern is worked flat in rows from this point to the end.
Row 1: Ch 3, dc in next 17 (19, 21) sts; turn 18 (20, 22 sts).
Rows 2-4: Ch 3, work even on 18 (20, 22) sts in dc; turn.
Row 5: Ch 3, work evenly across, ch 12 (14, 16), join with slip st to opposite end, do not turn.
Rows 6-14 (17, 20) : Ch 3, work even on 18 (20, 22) sts in dc; turn.
Slip st in first st of row to close heel. Fasten off.
Use mattress stitch to sew seam in back.
Weave in ends.
