Trinity Stitch Wash Cloth

Gauge: 16 sts and 13 rows = 4″ in trinity stitch
Finished Size: Approximately 6.5″ square (small wash cloth size. To make it larger, you chain any odd number and work the pattern as written).
Pattern
Ch 25 (or any odd number).
Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc3tog inserting hook into same ch as first sc and next 2 ch, *ch 1, sc3tog inserting hook into same ch as last and next 2 ch; repeat from * to last ch, sc in last ch; turn. (24 sts)
Row 2: Ch 1, sc in first st, sc3tog inserting hook into same st as first sc and next 2 sts, *ch 1, sc3tog inserting hook into same st as last and next 2 sts; repeat from * to end, sc again in last st; turn.
Repeat row 2 until piece is square (same height and width).
Border
At the end of the last row of the body, chain one and turn to the side.
Work row 2 of the body down to the corner.
If you end the sc2tog in the corner space, ch 1, turn to the bottom and sc in the same space, then continue working row 2 as before.
If you have one stitch left after the sc3tog, work a (sc, ch 1, sc) in the corner and continue working row 2 along the bottom of the washcloth.
Repeat up the second side.
Join with slip st to last row of the body and leave it unworked (it’s already in the Trinity Stitch pattern!).
Fasten off and weave in ends.
