Easy Floral Granny Square Crochet Pattern

With first color, make magic ring.

Round 1: Ch 5, (dc in ring, ch 2) 7 times, join with sl st to third ch of beginning ch. Change color.

Round 2: Sl st into ch-2 space, ch 3 (counts as first dc of cluster), dc4tog in ch-2 space, *ch 5, dc-cl in next ch-2 space; repeat from * to end, ch 2, dc in top of turning ch. Change color.

Round 3: Ch 5 (counts as dc, ch 2), 3 dc around post of last dc from round 2, ch 2, *3 dc in next ch-5 space, ch 2, (3 dc, ch 2, 3 dc) in next ch-5 space; repeat from * to last ch-5 space, 3 dc in ch-5 space, ch 2, 2 dc in ch-2 space, join with sl st to 3rd ch of turning ch.

Weave in ends. Block if desired. Even though I used an acrylic yarn I still pinned my square to a flat surface, sprayed it with water and allowed to dry. It did help it hold a nice square shape and lie flat!
