Brighten up any room or outdoor space with this absolutely charming Crochet Summer Daisy Garland! I had a lot of leftover Bernat Maker yarn in my stash so I decided to make some daisy garlands! 

First, I made a 4th of July themed garland for my mantel, but it worked up so fast and was so easy, I decided to make another one for my daughter Nora’s room!

For these garlands, I used the yarn colors I had on hand, but there are lots of fun shades of Bernat Maker you can choose from! You could also use some Bernat Maker minis, since you only need a small amount of yarn for the centers of the flowers. 

For the 4th of July garland I used the shades Steel Blue and Fawn, which is a little bit more of a rusty red, but it ended up matching my living room a little better than bright red so I love how it turned out. 

For Nora’s garland I used the shades Fawn, Saffron, Coral and Soft Peach.

The center of the flowers is made with a magic circle and some half double crochet clusters, and the petals are made with alternating chains and treble crochets.

Materials

Bernat Maker

(Tap name of yarn to shop on Yarnspirations.com) 

Size L/8.00mm crochet hook, tapestry needle, scissors

Stitches

Half Double Crochet (HDC) Cluster: Yarn over (YO), insert your hook, YO and pull up a loop. YO, insert your hook into same space, YO and pull up a loop. YO and pull through all five loops on hook. 

Slip Stitch (SL ST): Insert your hook, YO, pull up a loop and pull directly through loop on hook. 

Treble Crochet (TC): YO twice, insert your hook, YO and pull up a loop, YO and pull through two loops, YO, pull through two loops, YO, pull through remaining two loops.

Pattern

Make a magic circle with and chain 1. Work 6 HDC clusters into the magic circle.

Join with a SL ST to the ch 1, tie off. 

With cream color, pull up a loop in the top of a cluster and CH 3. Work 2 TC, inserting your hook into the same stitch each time. CH 3 and slip stitch into same space. 

*CH 3. 2 TC in next stitch. CH 3 and slip stitch into same space. Repeat from * around the circle. 

Make 7 petals total. After last petal, slip stitch into the bottom of starting CH 3. Tie off and weave in ends. 

Garland

To make garland, make a long chain to your desired length. (If you want a tighter chain, go down a few hook sizes – I used a 5.5mm to make my chain.)

Weave the chain into the top of each flower with a tapestry needle, inserting the needle into the top of the CH 3s of one petal.
